Neighborhood Cleanup - Sat April 18!

General NewsIn conjunction with the Citywide Spring Cleanup, we're combining forces with the Friends of Riverside Park crew and some adjoining neighborhood associations for what we hope to be a very productive day.

We will meet at 9 AM on Saturday April 18th at Heath and Johnson Streets and we will divide and conquer from there. The City is supplying bags, brooms, rakes, shovels and work gloves, so just bring yourself, a neighbor or two, and an appetite for some coffee and donuts. We plan to do work in the park as well as fan out into the neighborhood to address problem areas.

If you can help - even if only for an hour, it would be much appreciated. The cleanup should last until about noon. If you are not able to meet in the park, please take some time to address areas around you - your front sidewalk and gutter (and maybe your neighbor's too), your alley, - maybe a forgotten place around the corner etc.

As an added incentive, we're working with Little Havana to provide drink and/or meal coupons for all volunteers.

Please spread the word to your neighbors!
